Sibilla

This section is dedicated to my love and passion for the Italian cartomancy system known as "Sibilla"' with the traditional imagery being referred to as "La Vera Sibilla Italiana" which translates to "The True Italian Sibyl" in English. This cartomancy system came out of the 19th century. It started off as a 32/36 card deck out of Austria and then expanded into a 52 card deck for sake of adding more details and flexibility to the deck itself as it moved into Italy.

Information on these cards are incredibly scarce and most of the resources for these cards are only available in Italian apart from Italian Cartomancy: Learn The Vera Sibilla Italiana by Alessandra Venturi. Which you can purchase on Amazon, eBay, and of course through Lulu. Yes, it is a pricy book but there aren't any other books available in English on these cards themselves. (or least ones that follow the traditional Vera Sibilla imagery). If you are serious about learning these cards, I would highly recommend getting despite the author's elitism and overly promoting her course.

Other books Sibilla:

Facebook group: Sibilla Oracle Cards: I am not the moderator of this group but I am a member of this group. If you would like to practice as well as share what you discovered about these amazing cards, feel free to join this group.

Card Meanings:
J. David Arcuri's Sibilla Card Meanings: If you don't want to purchase Alessandra Venturi's book or can't afford it, please check out J. David's blog on Sibilla cards. These are basic meanings to help you get started so you can start reading with these cards and have something to go off of.
I also created a PDF with the upright and reversed meanings and tried to keep it down to a few meanings and keywords rather than give every meaning possible. I didn't include the meanings in terms of reading for health. It's not something I do. If you want to learn those meanings, get Venturi's book or find another reliable resource that includes them. This PDF does have the link to my now defunct website. Yes, I am going through yet another rebrand.

Videos: Most videos on these cards are in Italian and if you speak Italian, I would recommend Etienne Valancourt's channel. Unfortunately, my Italian still has a lot to be desired despite originally learning it at age 13. I haven't really learnt the language to fluency even though I am a polyglot! But since Italian is a beautiful language, I definitely will be coming back to learning it at a later date.
I made a playlist of videos on many of these cards. Keep in mind that there are a few videos I had to delete and some I have to still remake because of a technical issue I was having. But these videos should also be helpful as well.

These are the decks that are currently available that I was able to locate that follow a Sibilla system to them. The first two can be purchased on Amazon, eBay and BookDepository but the others you will have to look a little harder. I found Alida Store to be incredibly useful but the shipping costs be a bit steep. If you find any other Sibilla decks or other resources on Sibilla out there that aren't on this list, let me know and I'll add it to this list.
